《NewWebPick》電子雜志推出的《Connection》特刊的理念：

為了建立和加大各國創(chuàng)意產(chǎn)業(yè)的知名度；
展示各國的設(shè)計實力和促進(jìn)國外讀者對其他國家的文化、設(shè)計和設(shè)計師產(chǎn)生濃厚興趣，并增加相互之間的了解；
為讀者創(chuàng)造和匯集有價值的藝術(shù)品。
“Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.”這是圣經(jīng)中關(guān)于”Babel”的原文，語言被打亂了，每個國家都有著不同的語言，人們的交流和文化的溝通產(chǎn)生了障礙，但還有很多方式讓人們可以交流，比如，圖形……

每一期將會推出一個國家的設(shè)計作品，會相繼推出不同國家的設(shè)計作品。其中內(nèi)容大概包含了：圖形圖像設(shè)計、工業(yè)設(shè)計、網(wǎng)頁設(shè)計、建筑與空間、插圖、UI、Flash、數(shù)碼攝影、實驗藝術(shù)等方面的作品。所以，《Connection》無需太多的語言，只要你有無邊無際的古怪創(chuàng)意和想法，文化的溝通、聯(lián)系將是無國界的。
